The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has secured another major commercial success by finalizing the sale of its international media rights for the upcoming season.
Under a one-year global media rights agreement for PSL 11, covering all international markets except India, the rights have been awarded to Walee Technologies, which submitted the highest bid. The league confirmed that the offer also exceeded the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) reserve price.
Compared on a like-for-like basis with the same regions from the previous rights cycle, the new deal marks a 149 percent increase in value, highlighting the PSL’s growing appeal outside Pakistan and its rising status in the global T20 arena.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer described the outcome as a strong endorsement of the league’s brand and on-field product. He said the sharp rise in value reflects increasing global demand and credited franchises, players, and commercial partners for strengthening the tournament’s profile. He also welcomed Walee Technologies for helping take the international rights to a new level.
Walee Technologies CEO Muhammad Ahsan Tahir called the acquisition a milestone for local technology companies, saying it marks the beginning of Walee’s journey with the PSL. He hinted at new and innovative ways the league will be showcased to international audiences.
Since its launch in 2016, the PSL has continued to grow across broadcast, sponsorship, and digital platforms. PSL management and the PCB say they now aim to further enhance the international broadcast experience and expand the league’s global reach, making it more accessible to cricket fans worldwide.
