PSL Schedule Likely to Be Announced This Week
On Thursday, the PCB will meet with the PSL franchisees for more consultation.
LAHORE: According to reports, the schedule for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) would be released on Friday.
The schedule for the tournament’s eighth edition has been finalised, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will meet with PSL franchisees for further consultation tomorrow (Thursday), according to sources.

According to reports, the PSL’s opening ceremony will take place in Multan on the existing timetable.
According to the reports, the tournament’s matches would be held at four separate locations. They also said that the PSL will begin on February 13 and conclude on March 19.
According to the sources, PSL matches would be held in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. They also stated that the matches at the four locations will be played concurrently.
According to the sources, the plan of allowing the PCB to host one exhibition match in Quetta has also being explored. The exhibition matches would be held between Peshawar and Quetta, according to the sources.
PSL 2023 Draft
The PSL 2023 player draught was held in Karachi in December of last year, with over 1,000 local and foreign players available to be selected by six franchises for 61 places.
When the retention and transfer windows closed last month, five of the six PSL teams had kept eight players, while Peshawar Zalmi had retained seven.
These teams formed a roster of 18 players, with three players from each of the platinum, diamond, and gold categories, five from silver, two from emerging, and up to two from additional categories.
In the first three categories — platinum, diamond, and gold — teams may have up to three international players, with one abroad player required in platinum and diamond.

Teams choose five international players for a roster of 16, and six for a squad of 18.
There were 517 foreign players and 491 Pakistani players available for selection.
