PTA and NADRA Sign MoU for Enhancing Future Projects
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will have a substantial national influence on the digital, social, and economic transformation.

The use of new ICT technologies for e-governance efforts, biometric verification advancements, and the use of ICTs to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets and contribute to the Government of Pakistan’s “Vision 2025” are a few of the several areas of collaboration.
In order to accomplish corporate objectives, the collaboration will reinforce and streamline initiatives including Digital Identity, Multi-finger Biometric Verification System, and Fraud Detection & Prevention.

Senior officers from both organizations, including Chairman NADRA Mr. Tariq Malik and Member (Finance) PTA Mr. Muhammad Naveed, attended the event. The MoU was signed by Muhammad Gohar Ahmed Khan, the chief project officer for NADRA, and Chaudhry Mudassar Naveed, the director general (Strategy & Development) of PTA.
The event’s chairman, NADRA, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two groups and cited PTA’s significant contributions to NADRA’s projects. He underlined his upbeat perspective and his belief that Pakistan will benefit from this alliance. A Finance PTA member also voiced his appreciation for the alliance and the possibilities it offers. He made it clear that the objective is to foster creativity and collaboration by utilizing the advantages of both enterprises.

The agreement also intends to create a coordinating system that would facilitate good working relationships and capacity building through information exchange and the delivery of training sessions and seminars on pertinent topics.
The two institutions’ collaboration will support the nation’s broader goal of developing into a digital society and a global leader in technological innovation.
