These SIMs were blocked after the deadline for biometric confirmation on August 16. The PTA indicated that these SIMs were linked to weak or fraudulent identity documents.

To restore a blocked SIM, users must first get a new ID card from NADRA. Then, they should visit their mobile operator or franchise to unblock the SIM through biometric verification.

The PTA has also alerted that SIMs linked to expired identity cards from before 2017 will be blocked within a week. To avoid this, users should renew their identity cards through NADRA and have their SIMs verified.
