PTA Conducts Raids Against Illegal Internet Service Providers
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), conducted two successful raids against illegal internet service providers operating without a PTA licence in Etihad Park Chungi Amer Sidhu, Lahore, and Tehsil Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, District Kot Addu, as part of its ongoing efforts to eradicate the rampant proliferation of illegal internet service providers.
Operational internet setups and related equipment were seized during the raids. The FIA detained three people, two in Kot Addu and one in Lahore. The offenders have been detained for more investigation.

The PTA’s steadfast dedication, ongoing oversight, and persistent attempts to stop unlawful internet services are responsible for the success of the campaign against illegal internet service providers. These steps are essential for stopping tax fraud and inaccurate revenue reporting, which reduces the loss to the national exchequer.
