Public Schools in Punjab to Be Shifted on Solar Power
According to news sources, as many as 4,000 public schools in Lahore would be converted to solar electricity as part of a program by the Punjab government to promote environmentally-friendly, sustainable energy.
According to the information provided, the ‘Ujala’ initiative aims to convert public schools to solar energy. More than 450 of the 4,000 approved schools are government institutions.
The energy department of the provincial government has picked two private enterprises with the lowest bids to assist in the execution of these schemes. A transparent bidding process resulted in a shortlist of private companies.

In addition, it was emphasized that the schools would be converted to solar energy in phases. This project will not only aid in reducing carbon footprint, but it will also lower electricity expenses over time.
