Punjab Announces Huge Increase in Marriage and Death Grants
The Punjab government has announced a significant increase in its citizens’ marriage and death grant amounts. Under the new scheme, the grant amount for marriage has been increased from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 400,000, while the grant for deaths has risen from 33% to 800,000.

The Punjab Labor Department government has decided to improve the welfare assistance offered to its employees.
The Worker’s Welfare Board of Directors approved raising these welfare grants. This will be implemented from 27 March.
Moreover, the Punjab government agreed to provide all the allowances to medical professionals.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar announced the increase, stating that it aimed to provide financial support to the less privileged segments of society. He added that the increase in grant amounts would help families deal with the financial burden of these critical life events.

The summary of Rs 28000 allowances for the Grade 17 to 20 and Rs 19000 allowances for Grades 18 to 20 has been forwarded to Finance Department by The Punjab Health Department.
The new scheme will benefit thousands of people across the province, particularly those from low-income households. These will be available to eligible citizens of the province.
