Punjab Approves PKR 3 Billion Development Projects
According to news sources, the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) authorized five uplift programs totaling PKR 3.023 billion in Lahore. Planning & Development (P&D) Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal gave his permission while presiding over the 28th meeting of PWDP in Lahore.
The initiatives will get funding for the current fiscal year (FY 2021-22). The following is a breakdown of the projected development projects:
- Gujrat City will receive comprehensive sewerage, drainage, and water supply system with funding of PKR 1 billion.
- 681.5 million Pakistani rupees have been allotted for the advocacy campaign leading to action-social and behavior change calls to action.
- There is a budget of PKR 857,337,000 for programs based on the improvement of integrated supply chain management information for accurate commodity forecasting, supply planning, and visibility.

A budget of PKR 21 million has been allocated for the completion of a feasibility study for the University of Technology, Rawalpindi.
PKR 462.014 million has been allotted for the Women Development Complex’s construction.
