Punjab’s Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has officially confirmed that the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 will be presented on June 16. The announcement was made on Sunday through a statement on X (formerly Twitter), where the minister also praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her leadership.

Aurangzeb emphasized that the upcoming Punjab budget is not just a routine financial document, but part of a larger mission to drive transformation across the province. She stated that under CM Maryam Nawaz’s direction, the government is aiming to introduce a bold and strategic roadmap for economic and social progress.

Originally scheduled for June 13, the presentation date for the Punjab Budget 2025–26 was shifted to June 16 to allow more time for preparations. Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman earlier clarified that the budget will be finalized without introducing any new taxes, promising it would be a tax-free budget focused on public relief and development.

The 2025–26 budget is expected to include key allocations for infrastructure, education, health, and social welfare projects aligned with the government’s broader agenda of provincial development and fiscal responsibility.
