Residents of Punjab are set to enjoy an extended long weekend, as the provincial government has announced consecutive public holidays, giving people a chance to relax and recharge.
The government declared February 6 a provincial holiday for Basant, while February 5 will remain a public holiday for Kashmir Day. With the weekend falling immediately after, this creates a four-day long weekend across the province.
