With the intention of empowering youth throughout Pakistan with the necessary digital skills, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has announced the official launch of its Punjab e-Rozgaar 2.0 initiative. According to a news statement released on Thursday, the freelancing training curriculum was formalized through new collaborations with City College in Multan. It also initiated The Learning Hub in Gujranwala, which allowed for the construction of Program e-Rozgaar facilities in these locations.

Sajid Latif, the Director General (DG) of e-Government at PITB, signed the agreements. The Learning Hub in Gujranwala was represented by Principal Sana Ajmal, and City College Multan was represented by Managing Director Waheed Ahmad. Ahmad Islam Syan, Director of the PITB Skills Development Wing, attended the signing ceremony as well.
An improved version of PITB’s earlier online training courses, Program e-Rozgaar 2.0 was created especially to provide young Pakistanis with reasonably priced, in-person instruction. Students in this course will be offered in-demand training fields like:
- Web Development
- Digital Marketing
- Content Writing
- Graphic Design
- And additional skills essential for today’s digital marketplace
In addition to promoting skill development, this redesigned curriculum is designed to satisfy the demands of the ever-changing digital economy by enabling participants to explore online revenue sources.
“Our goal is to broaden the reach of digital literacy in Pakistan, providing structured and hands-on courses that empower students to explore online earning avenues, particularly in freelancing,” said PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, who highlighted the idea behind e-Rozgaar 2.0.
