Punjab Earns Rs 128 Billion by Selling e-Stamp Papers
Lahore: Under the current administration, the sale of e-stamp papers brought in more than Rs 128 billion for the Punjab government.

Babar Hayat Tarar, a senior member of the Board of Revenue, stated in a statement that the e-stamping system has benefited the populace and that stamp sheets costing less than Rs 500 were also being sold in light of the system’s efficiency and usefulness.
According to him, the e-stamp system assisted the government in fighting corruption because it was simple to verify e-stamp documents.
In order to assure transparency, 7,527 stamp dealers have been registered in 36 districts, and 7,456 smart cards have been issued to them.

The SMBR said that the e-stamp system has assisted in people paying the proper stamp duty to the government and that people could simply generate 32-A challan forms from the comfort of their homes using computers.
To further assist the general public, the Board of Revenue will also print stamp papers on plain sheets with inbuilt security elements.
