Punjab Electricity Consumers to Receive Rs. 14 Per Unit Relief

President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, declared on Friday that the Punjab government will provide Electricity Relief of Rs. 14 per unit on electricity bills for customers using up to 500 units in August and September.

Speaking alongside Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore, the former prime minister stated that Rs. 45 billion have been set aside to fund this relief. He also said that the Punjab government has given Rs. 700 billion for a solar program aimed at supporting the middle class.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed this initiative and called it a significant step in reducing electricity rates for those using up to 500 units per month. He praised Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their people-focused approach to offering this Electricity Relief to the public.
