Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that schools across the province will reopen on April 1.
The statement puts an end to ongoing speculation about a possible extension in school holidays due to the current energy situation.
Earlier, there were reports suggesting that holidays might be extended until April 15, along with a proposal to introduce a hybrid learning system. However, no official decision had been made at that time.
With this announcement, the minister has confirmed that academic activities will resume at the start of April, clearing uncertainty around the school schedule.
The decision comes after several days of discussions and concerns about whether the break would be extended to help manage energy consumption.
