In an effort to combat illegal guns, the Punjab Home Department has revoked the licenses of 28 arms dealers.
According to information that came to light on Thursday, the department announced that legal action had been taken and that the stores of fraudulent sellers had been closed. 511 gun dealers in Punjab applied to have their licenses verified.
Following a thorough examination, 393 dealers’ licenses were validated, and green certificates were given out.
According to the government, 90 arms dealers’ documents are currently being examined.
