Punjab Government to Launch Air Ambulance Service
Lahore’s Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, has stated that Punjab will be the first province to introduce an air ambulance service.

He was speaking during the graduation of 393 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rescuers and 73 from the Koh-e-Suleman area of DG Khan at the Emergency Services Academy, Thokar Niaz Beg.
Mr. Buzdar informed the rescuers that the government would examine the permission of risk allowance for them on the model of the Punjab Police and that work would begin in 2017 to restore the frozen allowance.
Mr. Buzdar stated that the rescuers service structure had been adopted to create prospects for advancement, and that the government had given Rescue 1122 the status of an administrative department and its director general the powers of a secretary.

In the meantime, CM Buzdar has ordered the implementation of Covid-19 SOPs during Muharram processions and Majalis.
In a statement, he urged participants to wear facemasks since it was in their best interest to take measures in the wake of the coronavirus’s fourth wave.
