Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has approved housing projects in six of the province’s cities, marking a significant step toward meeting the housing demands of the low-income population.
The decision was made in Lahore during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Stressing the critical nature of the situation, she instructed pertinent agencies to find suitable sites for housing projects in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi as soon as possible.

In addition, the Chief Minister directed officials to take into account all relevant criteria that are necessary to guarantee the convenience and accessibility of these housing plans for the low-income population in the cities stated above.
Maryam Nawaz has shown a dedication to serving the public interest since taking office as Punjab’s first female chief minister. A few of her projects include Ramazan Nigehban and allowing people to buy E-bikes on an installment plan.
Previously, on March 18, Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved in principle the start of a metro bus project in three Punjabi cities as part of her mission to improve public transportation infrastructure.

The sanction was given at a meeting held in Lahore, where PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s attendance emphasized the party’s support for these kinds of development projects.
A thorough examination of Lahore’s transportation projects was conducted during the meeting, and the Chief Minister also indicated interest in looking into the viability of the city’s underground train project.
