Lahore: Six development schemes/projects for different Punjabi districts have been approved by the Punjab PDWP, according to the most recent information. The Planning and Development Board (P&D) has approved six development projects that are included under the emergency services, sports, road and bridge, and irrigation sectors, according to news sources.
The meeting’s chairman, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, accepted several initiatives totaling PKR 9.504 billion, according to the facts. The following items are included in the list:
- PKR 784.908 million was set aside as the building budget for the Arifwala Bypass.
- The construction of an interchange on Khanewal-Lodhran Road would cost PKR 2.731 million.
- The strengthening of emergency services in all districts of Punjab would come at a PKR 756.851 million cost.
- construction of a PKR 1.323 billion cricket high-performance center in Sialkot and a PKR 1.245 billion cricket high-performance headquarters in Faisalabad
- District Performance & Conveyance Efficiency-II will line the channels for irrigation with concrete to increase water delivery performance and conveyance efficiency at an estimated cost of PKR 2.663 billion.
As for the restricted-access corridor from Saggian to Babu Sabu Interchange and from Niazi Interchange to Saggian Interchange, Chairman Iftikhar Ali recently inspected the development project sites. During his visit to Babu Sabu, Mr. Asrar Saeed, the Chief Engineer of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), gave a status update on these major projects.
