Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has urged an end to the ongoing political tensions between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and his own party, stressing the need for unity and dialogue.

Speaking at a ceremony in Lahore, Rafique warned that a situation similar to Azad Kashmir’s unrest could emerge elsewhere if political disputes are not handled responsibly. He said political problems should be resolved through negotiation and proper channels, not through confrontation or coercion.

Rafique emphasized that it would be better for both parties to move forward together, saying the country must be freed from what he described as “siege politics.”

“Cities and roads are being shut down, but such actions should have no place in politics. Political issues require political solutions,” he remarked.

The former federal minister also praised Pakistan’s unity with its armed forces, expressing confidence that the Pak-Saudi defence agreement would further strengthen bilateral relations.

He added that the federal government is making progress on the foreign front, highlighting ongoing diplomatic achievements.
