Rain and Thunder Expected in Punjab and KP, Heatwave to Continue in Sindh and Balochistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says that rain, thunder, and strong winds are expected in many parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In Punjab, dusty winds will blow in the plains. There might be light rain in Talagang, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi. Some places like Murree, Galiyat, Attock, and Chakwal may get rain with thunder in the evening or at night.
In Islamabad, the day will be very hot, but rain and thunder might happen at a few places during the night.
In KP, dusty winds will also blow in the lower areas. The upper areas like Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Malakand could get rain and lightning at night. Places like Mansehra, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad may also have thunderstorms.
In Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana, the weather will stay very hot and dry. The same hot conditions are expected in most parts of Balochistan, with temperatures above normal.
People are advised to drink plenty of water and avoid going outside in the afternoon, especially in areas with extreme heat.
