Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has shared strong views on the current situation in Balochistan and the rising sugar crisis in Pakistan. Speaking on the Samaa TV program ‘Nadeem Malik Live’, he addressed several key national issues.

On the topic of Balochistan, Rana Sanaullah said that senior politician Malik Baloch is someone the government holds in high regard. He explained that Malik Baloch had once supported the idea of forgiving those who had taken up arms and gone to the mountains. However, Sanaullah said that when the government tried offering amnesty, it did not work.

He sharply criticized those responsible for violent attacks in the province, especially those involved in targeting innocent passengers. “Those who pull people off buses and kill them do not want Balochistan to progress,” he said. According to Sanaullah, the only way to deal with such militants is through a full-scale security operation.

Speaking about the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Rana Sanaullah said the government is open to talks if the founder is ready to engage. He also mentioned that the founder’s sons are free to visit their father if they wish.

Addressing the ongoing sugar crisis, Sanaullah blamed middlemen for creating an artificial shortage just to make quick profits. He said that sugar exports were allowed based on promises from mill owners that there would be no shortage in the market. Despite those promises, the price of sugar surged to Rs200 per kilogram.

“This seems like a planned move. It’s not just one person behind it,” Sanaullah said. He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has not given any relief to those responsible for the sugar issue and is fully committed to holding them accountable.

Rana Sanaullah’s remarks have sparked debate on social media as the government faces pressure to control inflation, ensure food security, and maintain law and order in regions like Balochistan.
