Rawalpindi: According to recent reports, construction is scheduled to begin on a new route to be added to the track at Rawalpindi Metro Bus Station. The Punjab Mass Transit Authority has chosen to add seven stops to the metro bus route. Henceforth, the express route would halt at Chandni Chowk to accommodate visitors from the general public to Benazir Bhutto Hospital. Furthermore, by January 6, 2024, the Sixth Road Station will be restored. It is important to note that the earlier mentioned THE express route makes six stops from Saddar to Faizabad. Its efficient pace and the inclusion of one more stop are positive aspects.
The sources added that the trip between Islamabad and Rawalpindi now takes only 20 minutes due to the fast route’s increased speed effectiveness.

The caretaker Punjab government has allocated Rs. 99 million for this station’s repairs, according to the DG RDA. In the second phase, repairs will also be made to a few additional damaged stations, including Khtam-e-Naboowat (Shamsabad), Faizabad, and Chandni Chowk.
