Rawalpindi to Be Categorized Into Three Tehsils: Minister
The government has decided to partition Rawalpindi into three tehsils: city, cantonment, and Saddar, according to Punjab Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja.

During a public meeting in Dhamial, the minister remarked that the PTI-led Punjab government desired to give the residents of the garrison city with optimum amenities. For this reason, the subdivision of Rawalpindi was divided into three sections. They also stated that the Rawalpindi district would be divided into seven tehsils. The seven tehsils would be – Rawalpindi, Gujar Khan, Taxila, Murree, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, and Kotli Sattian.

The provincial minister claimed that during the past three years, the Punjab government had built projects worth Rs130 billion to boost Rawalpindi’s infrastructure and civic facilities. Politics is the service to the public. Mr. Raja also unveiled a number of development projects totaling around Rs850 million at the event.
