RDA Advises Builders to Adhere to Land Subdivision Rule 2020
In Rawalpindi, a delegation made up of representatives from the Federation of Realtors Pakistan and the State Agents Association briefed RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and RDA Director General Captain (R) Abdul Sattar Issani about the challenges encountered by real estate developers and builders.

The chairman informed the delegation that the clearance process had been streamlined and that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) regulation will continue to be in effect up until the Cabinet approved the Land Subdivision Rule 2020.
The Chairman continued by saying that the Prime Minister’s package for the construction industry reflects his vision and that all barriers to the sector’s growth have been removed.
Together with that, he asked all developers and builders to submit their plans in compliance with the Land Subdivision Rule 2020.
The builders were instructed by Abdul Sattar Issani, DG RDA, to transfer the residential and commercial properties of private housing plans from RDA since failing to do so is not only against the law but also disadvantages the government.

He also gave the delegation the assurance that until the courts rule, questions about membership in housing societies should be referred to RDA.
