RDA: Ban Imposed on Marketing Firms for Promoting Illegal Housing Societies
Rawalpindi: Marketing firms that promote illegal housing societies are officially prohibited from doing so by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA). As per the information provided, marketing firms are prohibited from endorsing or publicizing unapproved housing developments. The directives for the directions to be issued came from Mr. Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, Director General (DG), according to an RDA official. He asserted that marketing groups had received orders to stop advertising these kinds of house offers right away.
Additionally, notifications were issued by the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA to YouTube channel owners and marketers. He claimed that YouTube and other channels were being used by these unlicensed housing associations to promote their businesses. Housing schemes that advertise their projects without first obtaining a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the RDA should take note of the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021, rule 46 (1).

Marketing firms have been warned that failure to comply with the directives may result in vague legal action. In addition, residents have been advised not to contribute to housing developments until they have checked their legal status on the RDA website. Residents can also visit the RDA office to obtain information.
