RDA Enhances DG’s Financial, Administrative Powers
The Rawalpindi Development Authority’s (RDA) governing committee has increased the director general’s financial and managerial authority.

Along with this, the RDA raised the fees for town planners, architects, resident engineers, structural engineers, and vetting structural engineers to register and renew.
These decisions were adopted at the 53rd meeting of RDA Governing Body with RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza in the chair.
According to him, the charge for renewing and registering as a town planner, architect, resident engineer, structure engineer, and vetting structure engineer has increased from Rs 300 to Rs 500 to Rs 15,000 as well.
Addressing the event, RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza pledged that the civic organization will expedite development projects and enhance operations for the sake of the populace.
He said that the housing societies in the area would be improved so that people’s investments would be secure and that the campaign against encroachments and illegal housing societies would continue without any discrimination.
