RDA Exceeds Revenue Expectations, Earns Rs. 851 million
RAWALPINDI: The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, under the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), generated Rs. 851 million during the 2022–23 fiscal year, marking a significant financial milestone.
The information suggests that the authority has spent more than the Rs. 565 million goal.
The Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing, according to the RDA spokesperson, was instrumental in this accomplishment by collecting Rs. 558 million, and the Planning Wing contributed Rs. 293 million to the revenue recovery, making it one of the department’s highest revenue collections to date.

The statement attributed the good revenue production to the involved officials’ dedication and hard work.
The Land Use and Building Control Wing of the RDA’s One Window Operation Centre approved 1,728 residential building plans and 151 commercial maps during the previous fiscal year.
During the same time period, the RDA also implemented strict measures against unauthorised structures and illicit housing developments.
First Information Reports (FIRs) were filed against the owners of illegal housing projects and unapproved residential and commercial buildings in addition to fines being levied on those who violated the restrictions.

Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, Director General of RDA, expressed gratitude for the MP&TE Directorate’s efforts and gave all staff instructions to carry on with integrity and take strict legal action against illegal projects and housing plans.
