Three unapproved housing developments have received notifications from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) in accordance with directives from the authority’s Director General, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa.
These housing complexes are located on the following roads: Chakri Road in Rawalpindi; Chak Beli Khan Road; Mandra-Chakwal Road in Mouza Sahang; and Ring Road Town in Mouza Harka, Basali.
A representative for the RDA said that letters were sent to Saeed Rizvi, Masood Azmat, and Umar Awan, the owners of these illegal private housing developments that the Authority had discovered.

The letters were sent out by the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA, the spokeswoman continued. In addition, Jappa had directed the Director of MP&TE to file a lawsuit against illicit marketing and advertising.
It was instructed to authorities to file First Information Reports (FIRs) against the proprietors of unlicensed housing developments. Sponsors of these kinds of scams were also advised not to advertise their unlawful and unlicensed housing developments.
The spokesman advised against investing in unapproved schemes and advised consumers to check the status of housing schemes on RDA’s official website, www.rda.gop.pk.
In addition, the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing has been contacted by the RDA’s Planning Wing regarding legal action against deceptive and unlawful marketing pertaining to unapproved housing developments.
