RAWALPINDI: The Faisal Town Phase-II unapproved housing project has become the target of strict action by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) in a recent development. The owners of the housing plan, who have been illegally advancing its Phase II, have been given notice to show cause by the RDA’s Director General, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa.
According to an RDA representative, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate was the one that sent out the show cause notice. The transgression? introducing and advancing Faisal Town Phase-II in the Tehsil Rawalpindi communities of Mera Kalan, Kolian Par, and Dhalla, especially through its social media presence.

The Director General aggressively discourages citizens from investing in illegal housing organizations and has voiced concerns about it. It was also disclosed that the executives of Faisal Town Phase-II are preparing to book plots and organize a launch party, all without obtaining the necessary approvals. The Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021, rule 46 (1), are broken by this.
The spokesperson went on to say that the management of Faisal Town Phase-II has received a strong directive from the MP&TE Directorate to immediately cease any development work, advertising, and transactions pertaining to the plots. If the management does not comply, they may be subject to legal action under the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules, 2021.
In addition, the Director General has directed the MP&TE Directorate to actively investigate and prosecute any unlawful promotion and marketing of unapproved housing projects. This action demonstrates the RDA’s dedication to protecting the rights of its residents and maintaining legal development practices in Rawalpindi.
