RDA Notices Issued to 4 Illegal Private Housing Schemes
The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), under the direction of Director General Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, has sent notices to the owners of four illegal private housing developments. The sponsors were also given a warning by the authority officials to stop immediately selling unlicensed and unlawful housing societies in order to avoid any repercussions.

The law also required sponsors to get the scheme’s approval and No Objection Certificates (NOCs). Otherwise, they would be subject to severe legal action. The following are the housing programmes included:
- Al-Buraq Enclave Rawat
- Century Town Housing Scheme
- Pak Sar Zameen Town at Chakri Road
- Rawat City Housing Scheme
The RDA has already filed First Information Reports (FIR) against the two above-mentioned illegal private housing developments. At Chakri Road in Rawalpindi, the projects include Century Town and Pak Sar Zameen Town. Additionally, the MP&TE Director has been told to take stern measures against illicit marketing and advertising, according to press reports.

The Director added that FIRs should be filed for any illegal social media advertising. In District Attock, beyond the RDA-controlled region, illegal housing organizations like South City Developers should be reported. The residents have been warned not to invest in such unlawful housing projects and to check the status of any housing projects on the RDA’s official website, www.rda.gop.pk.
