The Rawalpindi District’s housing projects are governed by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA). The RDA has said that it would be taking legal action against unapproved housing projects without a valid NOC from the relevant authority. To everyone’s amazement, Blue World City and Capital Smart City—two of the largest brands in the housing industry—were targeted by RDA. While the authorities take action to prevent the building of unlawful housing complexes, the operation is still ongoing.
RDA recently launched up an operation against five unlawful housing societies once more, stopping them from moving forward with any further construction. Additionally, formal complaints have been made against the project owners. The owners of these projects, according to RDA officials, were selling plots to the general public without receiving approval from the RDA or NOCs.
This time, the Rawalpindi division’s RDA has taken action against the following housing projects:

The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate (MP and TE) is already pursuing legal action against the marketing and promotion of illegal housing developments in the city, RDA officials further disclosed to the media. A representative for the RDA further emphasized that prior to filing formal complaints against the owners of these housing projects, notices were sent to them.

Along with taking action, RDA is launching public awareness efforts to caution people against funding housing developments that have not received authority approval. Additionally, it is prohibited to market, promote, or advertise projects without NOCs.
In addition, the RDA has instructed the housing project’s sponsors and owners to work with the authorities to obtain the required licenses for plot sales and advertising.
