On November 9 (a Thursday), the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will stay closed.

According to a Monday notice from the central bank, the State Bank of Pakistan will be closed on Thursday, November 9, in observance of Allama Iqbal Day, a public holiday established by the Pakistani government.

It is important to note that the federal government declared last week’s Allama Iqbal Day (November 9) to be a national holiday.

On this day, commercial banks will likewise be closed.

The Cabinet Division declared in a notification that Allama Iqbal Day will be honored nationwide as a public holiday.
