On Thursday, information was provided to the Senate Standing Committee on Power indicating a recovery of about Rs 1 billion had been made recently.

The Senate Committee commended the Power Division for acting quickly to stop the theft of electricity and line losses in several DISCOs. According to data, the caretaker government apprehended 490 people between September 7 and September 14, filed 4,241 First Information Reports (FIRs), and recovered Rs. 951 million from power thieves.
