Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 15A in India as the newest entry in the Redmi 15 series. The budget-friendly device offers a massive battery, high-refresh-rate display, and updated design.
Design & Display
The Redmi 15A sports a 6.9-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display reaches up to 810 nits of peak brightness and houses an 8MP front-facing camera. It carries an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Color options include Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black.
Performance & Software
Powered by the Unisoc T8300 chipset, the phone comes with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage, expandable via microSD. It runs HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16, with Xiaomi promising four years of firmware updates and six years of security patches.
Cameras
The rear setup features a 32MP main camera paired with an auxiliary sensor, while the front has an 8MP selfie camera.
Battery & Pricing
The Redmi 15A packs a 6,300mAh battery with 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Pricing starts at $137 for the 4GB/64GB variant, $153 for 4GB/128GB, and $174 for 6GB/128GB. Open sales begin April 3.
