Resumption of Long-Awaited Ring Road Project in Punjab
The long-delayed Ring Road (southern loop-3) project will resume after a 12-year hiatus, according to the caretaker government of Punjab, with the firm intention of finishing the project by December 31.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasised the importance of this decision by saying that the project’s restart will improve public transport options.
He made these comments while inspecting the current construction at the project site close to Multan Road Maraka.

The chief minister expressed hope for the project’s schedule and confirmed that the previous delays brought on by legal problems had now been resolved.
He ascribed these failures to the earlier hurdles that had impeded work, but now that they have been removed, the project is poised to move forward steadily towards completion.
People travelling from southern Punjab to Lahore can expect a big reduction in traffic congestion once this enormous project is finished.
