Revolution in Tourism, Agriculture to Boost Economy
Peshawar: According to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government is committed to bringing about a revolution in the tourism and agriculture sectors by modernising such industries.

The prime minister stated that appropriate infrastructure and roads would turn the connecting areas into a hub of tourism while speaking at the opening of the Peshawar-Dara Adam Khel Road and the launching of the Chitral-Shindur Road.
According to Imran Khan, Pakistan has enormous tourist potential that, if fully realised, could significantly increase both domestic and international travel.

He claimed that the Chitral-Shindur route, which would eventually be connected to Gilgit, would open up a new world of untapped tourist destinations while the Peshawar-Dara Adam Khel road would connect up to the western side and facilitate transit through Peshawar and surrounding areas.

Regarding agriculture, he predicted a revolution with a focus on plantations, particularly the olive and saffron vegetation, which would not only assist ensure food security but also generate income.
The prime minister claimed he had issued instructions to encourage the cultivation of avocados in Islamabad due to the city’s fertile terrain for the fruit.

He praised Mahmoud Khan, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), for properly demarcating tourist hotspots and charting out areas.
