Rawalpindi: All arrangements for the building of an overhead bridge along the Rawalpindi Ring Road, which links Rawalpindi and Lahore via the main railway track, have been completed by the Punjab Caretaker government.
A senior official in the local administration has stated that Pakistan Railways has sent out a demand notice for the granting of a No-objection Certificate (NOC) concerning the construction of a railway bridge near Kaliam Awan along the Rawalpindi Ring Road route.
According to the regulations, Pakistan Railways will receive reimbursement from the local authorities for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and additional departmental expenses. He also mentioned that an estimate of the bridge’s cost would be provided later.

Furthermore, the representative announced that plans will be initiated to start moving the main gas supply line; Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will release a demand notice in this respect soon.
There will be five interchanges along the 38.3-kilometer Ring Road plan, which is situated at Thalian, Chak Beli Khan, Adiala Road, Chakri Road, and Banth.
In addition, twenty-one small underpasses, five flyovers, and a railroad bridge will also be included in the construction. The process of acquiring land will not end until the final 26 kilometers of the route are built.
Meanwhile, Punjab’s acting chief minister visited the Rawalpindi Ring Road last week and gave the Frontier Work Organization (FWO) and Commissioner Rawalpindi officials orders to speed up project completion.
