After social media users accused radio host and content creator Mahvash of profiting professionally from her purported relationship with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, she found herself at the center of an online uproar.
Mehwish, who has been associated with Chahal since the end of last year, responded to criticism of her career achievements and personal assaults with a strongly worded video earlier this week on Instagram. Interest in the RJ’s connections to the cricket player has increased in the aftermath of Chahal’s recent divorce with Indian choreographer Dhanashree Verma.
In response to comments that Chahal had “set her career,” Mahvash shared screenshots of the comments in the popular video. She replied, “I have been in this industry since 2019,” to a comment that said, “Yuzi Bhai has set her career.”
Mahvash provided a selection of pictures and videos from her career to bolster her argument even further. She produced the movie Section 108, which starred famous Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and includes behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

“I’ve been hosting cricket events since you were born,” Mahvash said in response to critics who questioned her cricket expertise. Avoid reading messages that WhatsApp University has forwarded to you.
She was accused of lacking talent in another widely shared comment. “I am the daughter of a scientist, I have written two books, and my talent is on display on Amazon,” Mahvash responded.
Mahvash listed her professional accomplishments and identified herself as a writer, producer, host, actress, radio jockey, and content creator. She most recently played the lead in Pyaar Paisa Profit, a Prime Video movie.
“Your age is not as long as my career has been,” Mahvashad said in closing her statement to her trolls. Thus, be careful what you say in the future.
Rumors about relationships continue.
Mahvash was regularly spotted at games featuring Chahal’s side, the Punjab Kings, during the 2025 IPL season, which heightened rumors of a love relationship between him and Chahal that had started during the Champions Trophy previous year.
Their public appearances and social media contacts have continued to fuel rumors, even though neither Mahvashnor Chahal has formally confirmed nor refuted the rumors.
Mahvashhad dismissed the relationship rumors in an IPL interview by declaring that she was “single and happy,” a remark that did little to quell public interest.
After Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s divorce was formally declared in March 2025, the rumors only got worse.
