RUDA Invites Applications from Land Providers
According to news reports, the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has solicited proposals from landowners for the development of various schemes within the project in Lahore. The land providers will be responsible for obtaining land from the original landowners in areas surrounding or within the project’s perimeter.
The RUDA will thereafter receive the lands along with the ownership rights. Potential land sellers must register with RUDA by paying a one-time registration fee of PKR 50,000 and submitting an application on the prescribed form by November 20, 2021.
Once registered, the entities might engage with RUDA on the development of projects. Notably, the RUDA project is the greatest urban development project planned for the Ravi River.

The project is a large development proposal that is vying with adjacent landowners for the necessary land.
The authority announced in September that it had begun making payments to the property owners of the 2,000-acre first phase of the Sapphire Bay project.
