Islamabad – Today, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Islamabad to try to see the moon of Zilhaj.
According to SUPARCO (Pakistan’s space agency), it is very hard to see the moon today because it will only be 11 hours old at sunset on May 27.
SUPARCO says the first day of Zilhaj will likely be on May 29, so Eidul Azha will probably be on June 7 in Pakistan.
At the same time, Saudi Arabia will also have a moon sighting meeting today.

A Saudi expert says the moon may be seen there today. The UAE Astronomical Center also thinks there is a chance to see the moon today.
Because of this, Eidul Azha in the UAE might be on June 6.
Eidul Azha Dates in Pakistan for 2025:
- If the moon is seen on May 27, Zilhaj will start on May 28, and Eidul Azha will be on June 6.
- If the moon is not seen on May 27, the month will start on May 29, and Eidul Azha will be on June 7.
Seeing the moon is very important because it decides when Zilhaj begins. During this month, Muslims do Hajj and celebrate Eidul Azha.
