National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said on Wednesday that rumours about removing Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti were completely false. He said the provincial coalition government would continue working for Balochistan’s development and prosperity.
He made these remarks after meeting the Chief Minister in Islamabad. The meeting was also attended by Mir Saleem Khan Khosa, the PML-N Parliamentary Leader in the Balochistan Assembly. They discussed political, social and development matters related to the province.
Ayaz Sadiq said there was no truth to the reports about a change in leadership. He stressed that the coalition government in Balochistan would keep playing its active role for the progress and welfare of the province. He added that Balochistan’s development was essential for Pakistan’s development, and called the ongoing projects in the province a positive sign.
The meeting also touched on public welfare issues, challenges faced by Balochistan, and the need for stronger cooperation between the federal and provincial governments. The Speaker assured full support for Balochistan and said solving people’s problems was a top priority. He added that close coordination between federal and provincial authorities was key to addressing public issues.
Chief Minister Bugti praised the Speaker’s services and leadership. He also appreciated the National Assembly’s support for the Balochistan Assembly’s legislative work. Bugti said the people of Balochistan and the security forces remained on the front line against terrorism and that Parliament continued to represent the voice of all provinces.
