Russian to Assist in Modernization of Pakistan Steel Mills
A Russian delegation committed to submit suggestions for modernising Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM). The Russian delegation, led by Andrey Zubal, met Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, in Karachi to go through a number of projects.

Participants showed an interest in working with the Sindh government in a number of fields, including waste management, waste-to-energy, and hydro-treatment facilities.
The chief minister of Sindh claims that PSM requires modernization in addition to an upgrade in order to satisfy current demands for steel output. The visiting delegation consequently consented to send a team to the mill to ascertain the mill’s modernisation requirements.

The modernisation of the steel project will be given top priority, and the provincial government will be consulted while the feasibility and method of operation are evaluated.
The gathering also decided to look into the viability of building a 50MW waste-to-energy facility in Dhabeji.
