Rawalpindi: According to a news source, the District Planning and Design Committee (DPDC) accepted the “land classification map” to complete the much-anticipated master plan for Rawalpindi.
A top official reportedly revealed that MMP had completed the “land use categorization plans” for six tehsils: Gujar Khan, Taxila, Kallar Syedan, Murree, Kotli Sattian, and Kahuta. This information is reported in the source article. However, the development of the land use categorization plans for Kotli Sattian and Murree was put on hold as a result of Murree’s designation as a new district. The Rawalpindi local government officials have already given their approval for the creation of the master plan in their various regions.
The consultant will create a development plan that is in line with the new classification (zoning) of land in the Rawalpindi district using the approved land categorization map, which is based on settlement (build-up area). After the notification, the RDA is ready to start building an economic zone around the Rawalpindi Ring Road once the master plan is finished.
