Several people felt that her statement sounded ungrateful, especially since most television dramas are produced in Karachi, and the city has helped shape the careers of many actors, including Saba Qamar.

According to her, she only meant that she personally finds more comfort living in Lahore and Islamabad and travels to Karachi mainly for work. Just keep it clean and it’ll have my whole heart.” She added that her intention was not to degrade the city, but to express that safety and environment matter when choosing where to live.
