Actress Saba Qamar has revealed that playing a rape survivor in the drama Case No. 9 deeply affected her mental and physical health.
In an Instagram story, she said that filming emotional and painful scenes again and again was very difficult and left a strong impact on her mind and body.
Saba shared a clip from the show Kya Drama Hai, where Shamoon Abbasi, Nadia Khan, and Atiqa Odho praised her performance. She thanked them and said the role was challenging.
“It affects the actor deeply”
Saba explained that emotional scenes can take a real toll on actors. She said the stress from acting in those scenes led to some health issues, but she is now focusing on recovery and trying to stay strong.

About the drama
In Case No. 9, Saba plays Sahar, a successful woman whose life changes after she accuses her boss (played by Faisal Qureshi) of rape.
The drama highlights issues like:
- Workplace harassment
- Misuse of power
- The difficulties women face when they speak up
The show is written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, featuring a strong cast including Amna Sheikh.
