The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has condemned Israel’s move to block the Global Sumud Flotilla, terming it a violation of international law.
MoFA spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said the government’s top priority is the safety and well-being of Pakistani citizens aboard the humanitarian vessel, which he described as a symbol of global solidarity and moral resolve.
He recalled that on September 16, Pakistan joined fifteen other nations in issuing a joint statement raising concern over the flotilla’s security. Pakistan, he added, is in close contact with international partners to ensure the safe return of all hostages.
Reaffirming Islamabad’s longstanding position, the spokesperson stated that Pakistan does not recognize Israel and is working with allied countries to guarantee the protection of its nationals on board.
