Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan said he normally avoids celebrating fifties, but made an exception when he reached the milestone against India.
“When I scored a fifty against India, I immediately thought of celebrating,” Farhan told reporters in Dubai. “People don’t know what my celebration means, but that doesn’t matter.”
Farhan praised his opening partner Fakhar Zaman, crediting his aggressive approach for boosting confidence at the crease. “It was fun opening with Fakhar Zaman. I have worked hard to hit sixes and, Insha Allah, we will win the match against Sri Lanka. All the players are confident for the upcoming games,” he added.
Reflecting on the clash with India, Farhan said the match was competitive until the final overs. “It was not one-sided. We will meet India again in the final,” he said.
Haris Rauf’s Viral Gesture Amid India–Pakistan Rivalry
Meanwhile, pacer Haris Rauf drew attention with a viral response to Indian fans’ taunts during the same match. The bowler raised six fingers, a gesture interpreted as “six-zero,” referencing Pakistan’s claim of downing six Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, in a past military confrontation.
The gesture quickly spread across social media, fueling debate among fans from both sides.
