The Punjab Food Authority performed inspections in Aliot Bazaar, Expressway, and Mochi Mandi as part of its activities in Murree to stop the selling of poor meat.

The representative claims that when 19 beef and mutton stores were examined, four of them received fines totaling Rs54,000.

Cases were filed against the shops, and about four tons of inferior meat were immediately destroyed.

A veterinary specialist inspected the meat on the spot and found it unfit for human consumption, according to the spokeswoman.
