Pakistan T20 captain Salman Ali Agha responded to the government’s decision that the team will not play against India in the ICC World T20 2026.

Speaking at a press conference after Pakistan’s third and final T20 match against Australia in Lahore, Salman Ali Agha said, “This is not our decision and we can’t do anything about it, but we will follow the instructions of our government and the PCB chairman.”

He stressed that the players will remain focused on their performance and continue to represent Pakistan to the best of their abilities in the remaining matches of the tournament.

Earlier, the federal government announced that while Pakistan will participate in the ICC World T20 2026, the team will skip the match against India, scheduled for February 15, 2026.
