Bollywood star Salman Khan has paid an emotional tribute to veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 73. Shah, known for his iconic comic roles in film and television, died due to kidney failure, according to family sources.

Salman Khan shared his grief in a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. Posting a nostalgic photograph from the set of the 1997 film Judwaa, Salman wrote that he had known Satish Shah since the age of 15 and remembered him as someone who “lived life kingsize.” He ended his message with, “May your soul rest in peace. Will miss you, Satish Ji.”

The two actors shared a long working relationship and friendship spanning decades. They appeared together in several popular Bollywood films, including Judwaa (1997), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega (2000), and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). Fans also recalled Shah’s memorable comedic performance as a police constable in Judwaa, often seen alongside Salman’s double-role characters.

Satish Shah was widely respected for his versatility and natural comedic timing. He became a household name through television, especially with shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Ghar Jamai, Comedy Circus, and the much-loved sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, where his portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai earned him lasting admiration across generations.

His funeral took place on Sunday at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai, attended by friends, family, and members of the Hindi film and TV fraternity.

Satish Shah leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and performances that continue to be remembered fondly by audiences across India.
